As I mentioned on the last newsletter, There is a song from a project of mine on the new volume of the Som das Ruas Comp. A Portuguese punk compilation, and the record is out now!
I will receive my copies soon, and as soon as I do I you include all the info with the bands that are part of the comp.

An awesome new book on Portuguese punk between 1978-1998 is out there now. It is named Corta-e-Cola
(meaning cut and paste) and it was released by Chili com Carne and
including a CD compiled by Zerowork Records. It has stories, records and
even punk comix.
I am reading my copy and the book is an awesome read. It is written in Portuguese and you can order copies from me as well.

While I have no info about the status of the new releases announced, I just wanted to mention that the Portuguese punk comp "Som das Ruas" will release a new issue soon, and I have a song on there, from my instrumental surf punk solo project Surfenstein. Really stocked on this one and to have had one song from bands of mine in every issue released so far!
I
will have copies once the record is ready and will announce it here as
usual. I still have copies of the previous numbers of this comp, if you

Kids Decay:
There
has been a while since we have had any news to give, but while we are
writing new songs we are also playing a show this month.
We are playing with Leftover Crack on Lisbon's DIY venue Disgraça, on the 21st of June.
There
will be vegan dinner as usual. The entrance to the show is a donation
between 4 and 6 euros. Here is the flyer, done by our vocals, Moleiro.
We
are also printing shirts that will be ready on time for the show. If
you won't be able to make it but still want a shirt, just email me.

Hi guys,we're happy to inform you that the band is now on another phase with our old friend Paulinho replacing our other even older friend founder member Rui Rocker,we thought a lot about if we should keep going and ended up agreeing that it does make sense to keep at it,Rui would've wanted it as do we all!So here is a picture of the new line-up and a video from our last gig on April the 13th with us covering an old Ku de Judas track in order to pay homage to many that have fallen these last few months amongst them Rui Rocker,Joao Ribas,Pat Fear and many more,may they all rest in peace!!!

It is with much sadness in our hearts that we inform you that our guitarist founder/member Rui Ramos aka Rui Rocker has lost his battle with cancer and passed away at 49 in his home last November the 9th.We would like to thank all who sent messages and posted on the several site and pages on line and also to the bands and folk who organized and played at his benefit gig to homage his life and legacy.Rui was a true Punk pioneer in Portugal first with Shoque in 1978 then in 1979 with Crise(Who later became Crise Total when I joined in 1983),over the years he also played in Profilaxia,Rolls Rockers,Feijao Freud,etc...Recently along with Crise Total he also founded female fronted Asfixia(not to be confused with Spain's grindsters of the same name).He will be sorely missed.I leave you with his favorite slogan.

New single / 30 years of Total Crisis Tour (continuation)
Brothers and sisters in arms, as part of this years continued celebrations of our 30th anniversary as a band, subversive entity and deep thorn stuck in the enemy's back side and among the daily gring that has become our lives it is with pleasure that we announce the 2nd leg of our 30 years of Total Crisis Tour (30 Anos de Crise Total Tour 1983-2013) this time focusing on the release of a 7" vinyl single, our humble contribution to the wider fight against those on the other side of the barricades.
We'll be presenting it with 3 gigs in June (see poster for details), the single it self is already for orders from http://www.rastilho.com who we can't thank enough for releasing it and we are proud to associate ourselves with knowing of their humble D.I.Y. beginnings,now more and more becoming and making a name for themselves in the wider underground,alternative scenes.

News - Crise Total-30th anniversary
Libertarian salutations my friends,if possible and if you have the time please divulge that the up-coming year we are celebrating our 30th anniversary,we will start the year with just a couple of gigs but more will follow throughout the year as well we have a 7" split also planned to come out sometime in 2013 too,we're in conversations with a big name from Brazil!
So on the 11th of January we are to have a party/gig at the Ritz Club in Lisbon with us headlining it and with guests,all good friends of the band through out its existence,among them Simbiose,Albert Fish,Acromaniacos and Dr.Bifes E Os Psicopratas.
On the 12th we are gonna be going for the 1st time ever to a festival and a Metal one at that!Go figure,this is one ofr Unity so to speak...haha...the 19th HardMetalFest is probably the oldest and heaviest Metalfest in Portugal and this year we will be playing amongst names like Master(Usa)Contradiction(Ger)

Já está nas ruas o split 7" entre as bandas veteranas do Punk/HC White Flag e Crise Total!
Ambas as bandas nasceram em 1983 e são uma referência da cena Punk.
Os americanos White Flag de LA, que já visitaram a Europa por algumas vezes, têm no seu curriculo dezenas de lançamentos e um percurso que se cruza com bandas como Social Distortion,Germs, Bad Religion ou Melvins, sempre marcados pela sua postura polémica e provocante. 3 temas que mostram a banda num pico de forma fabuloso.
Quanto aos Portugueses Crise Total, banda de culto do underground Português e pioneiros do Movimento Anarcho-Punk nacional, têm aqui o seu primeiro registo com a mais recente formação que inclui os membros originais Manolo (voz) e Rui Ramos (guitarra), para além da "nova" secção ritmica com Rattus dos Albert Fish (baixo) e Johnny dos Asfixia (bateria),duas faxas com a usual constetacao social e protesto anti-capitalista a que sempre nos habituaram.

It's already out the split 7" between veteran HC/Punk bands White Flag and Crise Total!
Both were born in 1983 and both are a reference of the International Punk scene.
The Americans White Flag who are LA natives have visited Europe quite a few times and have in their portfolio tenths of releases and have over the years crossed ways with such bands as Social Distortion,Germs,Bad Religion and the Melvins amongst many others,their shows always marked by their polemic posture and their thought provoking themes,3 tracks that show them at their best.
As for the Portuguese Crise Total,a cult band from the Portuguese underground and pioneers of the Anarcho-Punk Movement in that country we have here their first record with their new line-up since 2008 with original members Manolo(vocals) and Rui Ramos(guitar) and the new recruits Rattus(bass) from Albert Fish and Johnny(drums) from Asfixia,Simbiose,2 tracks showing their anti-capitalistic/political stance as always.

Crise Total - News and Free Download
In conjunction with Nacion-Libre we've put up two cd's for free download,the 1996 "E a crise continua" released by Fast'n'Loud and the 2008 celebration of our 25th year cd "Bem viva no R.R.V." witch has recordings done in the early '80's live released by Subsoundz,both in one handy to download zip folder with both artworks in it.

Also we'd like to announce that Zerowork Recs and Can I say Recs will release sometime soon a vinyl 7 inch with us and American Punk legends White Flag,initially it was supposed to be a split with Brasil's Agrotoxico but there were delays and we thought we can always release another one with them at a later date.
